A storm is brewing around former Prime Minister Imran Khan, and it's not just political. From family drama outside Adiala Jail to claims of deception, secret deals, and media spin—this story has it all.
Family Blocked, Promises Broken
Recently, Imran Khan’s sisters and several PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf) leaders went to meet him in jail. But despite promises from the police, they were not allowed.
Earlier, the police had told them: “Come back on Thursday, and you will get a meeting.” Trusting the system, they left. But when Thursday came—they were blocked again.
One of his sisters, Uzma Khan, expressed her disappointment. She said, “Everyone has options, even Imran Khan. But the end of oppressors is always ugly. We believe, not just hope, that Imran Khan will come out victorious.”

Leaders, Lawyers, and Loyalists Denied Access READ MORE
It wasn’t just the sisters. PTI leaders like Umar Ayub, Zartaj Gul, and others were also stopped at police checkpoints. Even lawyers were not allowed to meet Khan.
Frustrated, Aliya Khan and others staged a peaceful protest. They sat down near an under-construction plaza. The protest got so serious that SP Nabeel Khokar arrived with additional police force.
The result? Police entered the plaza. The plaza owner was forced to lock the building, just because Imran Khan’s sisters took shelter inside.
The entire Adiala Road was shut down. Zartaj Gul called it a “fear-driven act,” asking, “If they’re not scared, why close the road? Why stop peaceful people from meeting their leader?”
This wasn’t the first time. Last time, Imran’s sisters were left standing in the sun, and earlier they were left out in the rain, far from any help.
People are now pointing out the double standards. When Bilawal met Zardari, cameras were invited. When Nawaz Sharif cried behind bars, the picture went viral.
But Imran Khan’s sisters? They weren’t even allowed to sit under shade. Even roadside food stalls were shut down if they tried to take shelter.
One sister sarcastically said, “Those who meet Khan without being on the list—please ask your ‘connections’ to help us meet our brother too.”
Secret Negotiations?
Meanwhile, a new narrative is being pushed—that PTI is divided, and some insiders are being used to create a “deal” with the establishment. Imran Khan clearly denied this, saying, “I never asked anyone to negotiate on my behalf.”
He only named Ali Amin and Azam Swati—but the media is dragging Barrister Saif into it too. Rumors say he’s the link between PTI and the establishment. But many believe this is just another tactic to weaken Khan’s stance.

Fuel Prices and Government Policies
While political drama unfolds, citizens suffer under rising fuel prices. Umar Ayub called out PM Shehbaz Sharif, saying, “No one is more dishonest. Inflation is rising, and the debt has increased by 14,450 billion PKR.”
Former Finance Minister Miftah Ismail also criticized the government. He said, “Global oil prices dropped, but our government kept prices high. Every month, instead of giving relief, they add Rs. 34 billion more in taxes.”

Overseas Pakistanis & Army Chief's

The Army Chief recently urged Overseas Pakistanis to invest in Pakistan. But critics ask, “Why should we invest when the elites themselves keep their money abroad?”
To add fuel to the fire, the Army Chief misquoted a Quranic verse in a speech against fake news—ironically the same verse that warns to verify information first.
Social media exploded with memes and criticism, questioning the credibility of the speech itself.
History is watching. Dictators have come and gone, but this level of suppression? Many say even Pervez Musharraf's era wasn’t this harsh.
If this continues, those supporting such actions today may face the same tomorrow.
Because what goes around… comes around.
In a time when freedom is restricted, truth is twisted, and promises are broken—one question remains:
Will justice ever return to Pakistan’s politics?
